THE FOCUS 

The intended focus for this digital production is the tension or the cohesion between old and new regarding any aspect of digital media.

The chosen organization is the World Information Institute (WII) an independent cultural institution that aims to explore digital culture technologies and society, which aligns with my course major of Digital and Social Media.

This image is meant to be a rudimentary depiction of the old and new when it comes to digital literacies and technology. In the 21st century the old and new continue to isolate -eachother yet still remain in-sync.

The second draft includes blurred images of the bible and a series of coding. The coding has been made dominant in this picture so that Romans the title of the book of the bible shown is barely visible. Aiming to illustrate how old and new do not always work in harmony but one at times can overshadow the other.

This image aims to illustrate how the perspective of an individual is often jaded by the influences of old and new. This idea is illustrated through the glasses were one lens is clouded by social media (the new) and the other lands clouded by the year 1963 (the old) were both ultimately impact the vision of the individual.

This second image aims to illustrate the contrast of the digital native and the digital native, the young boy who is the digital native is ahead in life and the older man is shown as distorted and the vehicle missing because he will ultimately “struggle” to succeed.
